I used GoViet for the first time today. GoViet is GoJek's venture into Vietnam. Many people were waiting for them after Uber Southeast Asia's operation was bought by Grab. Aber, Just as good as UberMoto?

I tried out Aber this week. With it's name, you would think they are trying to replace Uber in Saigon. It makes good marketing sense. There are many disgruntled former UberMoto drivers out there. My first Aber driver also works for MaiLinh Bike, a shared motorbike company many UberMoto guys fled too. Aber still has very few cars and bikes so be prepared to wait a bit. First ride with Mai Linh Bike

April 8 and UberMoto will become part of GrabBike. Seems many people, yours truly included, are not happy about this. Many UberMoto drivers have decided not to join with GrabBike and instead will move to Mai Linh Bike which gives them a better rate. Last night I took my first, umm, ride with Mai Linh Bike.
