Troi oi EVN!

Thursday, September 24, 2009 By kevmille

Below are my electricity usage in this house since 2006:

  • August, 2006 – 461 kWh
  • August, 2007 – 142 kWh
  • August, 2008 – 325 kWh

From 2009:

  • January, 2009 – 421 kWh
  • February, 2009 – 425 kWh
  • March, 2009 – 386 kWh
  • April, 2009 – 386 kWh
  • May, 2009 – 390 kWh
  • June, 2009 – 392 kWh
  • July, 2009 – 392 kWh
  • August, 2009 – 895 kWh

Does anybody see anything strange about this?

In August, I spent 4 days away from Saigon and did not spend much time at home.  My housemate works most of the days and only comes home at night.

Most likely there is a new guy reading the power meter.  When I first moved into my house, we had a problem with EVN billing us for more electricity than we actually used.  I then kept a daily log to prove to my landlord that we were being cheated.

I guess I got to keep another daily log now.

    Kevin,
My gosh that’s over double. What will that equate to in VND?
Did my friend Mike ever contact you and were you able to answer any of his concerns?
    Thanks Kevin,
    Mike

Sound likes someone is stealing power from your line.
