Seattle Meetup in Saigon

Friday, November 5, 2010 By kevmille

Space Needle and Mount Rainier - Seattle

For those Seattle-natives living in Saigon, there will be a Seattle Meetup next Tuesday night at Java Cafe.  This meetup is long overdue.  Our last pseudo-Seattle meetup was in June when Tam, Quynh and I had a small University of Washington Alumni meetup at Vincom Center.

If you are a Seattleite or having any interests in Seattle, please join us for the first Seattle Meetup on Tuesday.

Agenda:

  • Networking, networking, networking
  • How to promote the interests of Seattle in Vietnam

Date: Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010
Time: 6:00 PM
Venue: Java Cafe (corner of Hai Ba Trung and Dong Khoi Streets in District 1)

haha, i am partly in vietnam because of the seattle weekly’s cheap lunch section. they had an article about banh mi. as a chef, i love a great sandwich, and i guess you can say it changed my life. i then did all my shopping in the ID at Viet Wah for 1.5yrs, experimenting a bit with the new ingredients, and eating at the Viet restos in the ID…..before i even dreamed i would visit Vietnam, much less live here and start a family!!! 😀

Oh Viet Wah. I will get to spend three weeks going to this store in Dec. Nasai Teriyaki is my favorite teriyaki place in Seattle. I miss it.
