Trung Nam Hotel – Hanoi

Well, I am finally able to upload some pictures of my trip to Hanoi the previous weekend. I am working on the Perfume Pagoda pictures as you are reading this. Testing Gentoo 2008.0_beta1

I have spent the last couple of days trying to get Gentoo 2008.0_beta1 installed. Each install attempt was followed by a kernel panic. First I thought it was with GRUB but later I realized I was having SATA problems. Seems the problem is related to the new 2.6.24-gentoo-r4 kernel. Increased Internet Speeds in Vietnam?

VNPT just announced they will increase internet speeds (and prices) for new and existing customers.  Some customers, depending on their packages, may see speeds increase between 1-9 Mbps!  That is quite impressive. It would be nice to see if FPT and Viettel would follow.  Currently Viettel seems to be the star of reliable high speed bandwidth these days.
