During all holidays, Tet in this instance, all homes and businesses are required to fly the Vietnamese Communist Flag. Foreigners are no exemptions. In my past house, the local People’s Committee asked me to purchase a flag from them and they later put it on my house. I flew it until somebody stole it after a soccer match.
