Over a week ago I was invited to Vicki’s Teppanyaki by Harry, the owner of both Vickis and the Lion City Restaurant. Vickis is one of the first halal Japanese restaurants in Saigon that offers grilled Japanese food, known as teppanyaki. If you come to a teppanyaki restaurant, your food will be cooked by a chef right in front of you. This is similar to the Mongolian grills in the US.
The food was great, the Thai chef was very funny and entertaining. Expect to see some food flying around.
I was joined by food blogger, John (@sgnpilot) from Down the Street and Back, Evelyn (@ekrist) from V-in-V, and Thuy (@betoneko) from Tuoi Tre News. It was a good event that we all enjoyed. The food was great. Enjoy some of the pictures below. Expect John and Evelyn to give a thorough blog post about the food in more depth.
Vicki’s Teppanyaki is one of the restaurants included in the GoHalalPlanet‘s Halal Tour Package for Saigon.
