Karakol, Kyrgyzstan, was located at the far end of the famous Lake Issyk Kul. A large community of Dungans, Chinese Muslims, resided in Karakol. I remember the Dungans very well, they had the best Chinese restaurants in town. Naryn Mosque and tour guides
During my trip to Naryn with ACCELS, I had an opportunity to visit the local mosque. Three of the Kyrgyz boys below gave me a tour of the mosque including going up the minaret.
