I did not realize that the school I helped survive as an English school in Taraz, Kazakhstan, has turned 15 years old as of last April (2013). Alikhan Tura and the Uyghur People
My connection to the Uyghurs started when I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan. My Kazazkh language instructor was Uyghur who I really respected.
