During and after the Vietnam War, this statue of Jesus Christ is quite famous. Any veteran will know this statue. Vung Tau is a place that a lot of US Vets visited, even if they did not fight in the war. My father was stationed on a ship at Vung Tau for about a month, he was the first in my family to visit Vietnam.
