Saigon Coi Rieng Coffee shop

Saturday, May 2, 2009 By kevmille

Finally I able to get a picture of one of the best coffee shops in Saigon.  I spent most of the day at Coi Rieng coffee shop located in the Tan Binh District not far from my house.  It is actually a comfortable place to spend the day.  Too food is not bad and the coffee quite good.  I ended up eating a small breakfast and light lunch there.

The music is not too loud so you can have a casual conversation without having to scream at your friends.  WiFi is available as well.

There were several Expats there as well but normally mostly Vietnamese visit Coi Rieng.

No rain to cool things down though 🙁

Coi Rieng uses chairs that are among the most beautiful I have ever seen. But they are also the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in — no back support. How could you sit in those chairs for as long as you did?

Oh, if you like classical art, I’d like to introduce “Guitar G?” Coffee in Phu Nhuan Dist. It’s just a small coffee shop but it’s a well-known place with the poets and musicians in Saigon, especially for the classical guitarist. They often perform classical guitar (duo or solo) at nights. A good corner for enjoying fine art and relaxing after a stressful day.

Address: 3F Thich Quang Duc St., Phu Nhuan Dist.

PS: look like there’s problem with font. That coffee shop’s name is “Guitar Go” (“Acoustic Guitar” in English)
