Well, it seems that the current Skype login problems around the World is also affecting Vietnam. I have not been able to log into my Skype account since last night since past 6:30 PM. Skype claims it is related to a scheduled maintenence shutdown.
From the website:
“This problem occurred because of a deficiency in an algorithm within Skype networking software,” wrote Skype’s Villu Arak.
…
The interruption in Skype’s service followed on the heels of a scheduled network maintenance shutdown the previous day, when Skype said its services might be unavailable. But according to the company, all systems were subsequently back up and working normally.
It seems that Window and Mac users are affected as well. I use Linux on my Thinkpad, it’s 8 AM in the morning here in Saigon, still no Skype. No worries if you are users of Yahoo Messenger. It is still up.
