My friend, who is part owner of Halal Saigon, just opened a new halal Malaysian restaurant catering to the Malaysian tourists. The prices are considerably lower then many of the halal restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. The quality is still very good. I hope all tourists from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei can support this Muslim business as well.
Warung Saigon is located at 47 Nguyen An Ninh, District 1, not far from Ben Thanh Market. The owner, cooks and staff are all Muslims. The local Vietnamese Cham Muslim community provides the halal meat.
On a side note, I will start up GoHalalVietnam! again but more as a blog then halal directory. It will be up and running this week.
