More bottled water tests

Aquafina tds / ppm water quality test

At the request of people, I decided to do a TDS test of four more brands of bottled water that you can buy in Saigon.

Please note, as some people will emphasis, I am just doing a TDS test to decide how pure the water is. For purposes of this test, anything below 50 ppm indicates the water has been purified an “most likely” safe to drink. My last water quality article provides some charts to show if the water is safe to drink. A high ppm may indicate the water is from a mineral spring, it does not mean it is unsafe to drink.

In the future, I will work with a water provider to conduct to test TDS, chlorine and the PH level. I also want to test the chemical makeup of the water we drink as well.

Spring

Spring has a TDS of 123 ppm. It contains some mineral sources as indicated.

Aquafina

Aquafina tested at 5 ppm which means the source water was purified and possibly distilled.

Dasani

Dasani tested at 266 ppm. The TDS is high since it is mineral water.

i-on Life

i-on Life tested at 134 ppm. It’s water contains minerals.
