The Hai Yen Travel budget travel agency was run by my friend, Quan, who taught me a lot about Vietnamese culture and the Vietnamese way of thinking. He asked me to create a logo for his travel agency so I decided to use the one from my SaigonNezumi.com blog at the time. Quan passed away after a boating accident in Can Tho back in 2009. We had actually stopped speaking for 3 years but the death had an impact on me. Seeing this picture reminded me of Quan’s help during my first couple years in Vietnam.

Yeah but in Hanoi. Saigon branch must be different now.
