April 8 and UberMoto will become part of GrabBike. Seems many people, yours truly included, are not happy about this. Many UberMoto drivers have decided not to join with GrabBike and instead will move to Mai Linh Bike which gives them a better rate.
Last night I took my first, umm, ride with Mai Linh Bike. Yeah, the driver was wearing GrabBike garb but not a problem. The fares were similar to UberMoto.
On a positive note, Mai Linh Bike will be offering promotions to compete with GrabBike. These promotions will put a lot of press on Grab. Hence we can still enjoy good rates with happy drivers.
