My Life Coffee
I am sure many of you have gone right by this coffee shop and never known it existed. My Life Coffee is located right on the corner of Dien Tien Hoang and Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets in District 1 (not far from the Saigon Financial Center and Indochina Capital). I consider My Life Coffee to be one of the nicest and quietest small coffee shops in the city.
The owner used thick sound proof glass so you cannot hear the traffic outside which is nice. They keep the TV and stereo down so you can talk with your friends. In fact, if you want to have a small informal business meeting, this is the place to do it.
The coffee is great but I really like ice cream drinks. My Life Coffee reminds me of the Seattle Best Coffee shop across from Green Lake.
(Nice quiet interior)
(Traffic is nearby by but you cannot hear it)

Hi Kevin, Now I missing the cafes in Saigon. Another thing I wanted to ask you .. are there any barcamps happening in Saigon. I just attended one in Thailand and an other one in Singapore.
SaigonNezumi (Kevin) says
I am not sure, I never heard of barcamps. I will ask around, I am probably not the right person to ask her 🙂

dude, you’re watermarking your pictures now? extending the brand, eh? or just to slow down the theft a bit?

@D: Branding mostly but also trying to persuade people from hotlinking my images. I even changed my Creative Commons License. I have noticed an increased of news sites linking from my site and claiming it was their content.

Hi Kevin, your post around Saigon help me to reminiscence back into the time at a familiar city it’s seemed very close but yet …very far and it wasn’t the same when I left many, many years ago. Green Lake area is not change much after four years except a very few new condo. Besides, it’s beautiful in summer time.

I miss the Green Lake area. I used to live up in the Maple Lane area running distance from Green Lake. Right now a nice cool breeze would be refreshing.
Seattle’s Best Coffee still have a shop on Green Lake or did Starbucks close it?
Lai Rai says
If I’m right, this is a former Seattle Best Coffee location in the Mapple Lane area. It’s a Starbucks now, but the scenery and settings, interestingly are totally difference from Saigon’s cafes…here you can only see cars not people. This area is also my favorite hang out back in the college days.
I used to live in District 1, and very familiar with all the streets and locations…

Oh I am beginning to miss Seattle now. I will not return for a visit until December now.
Yep, there was a Seattle Best Coffee in my area near Northgate Mall. It was always packed. I went there a lot with my friend until I left for Vietnam. It was sad to see that Starbucks closed it down.
