A couple weeks ago I flew to the US from Vietnam. Normally I would fly EVA Air but this trip I decided to try ANA, All Nippon Airways. I have flown with Japan Airlines many times as a kid which is one of my favorite carriers.
I flew economy and was able to get an Exit Row seat all the way to Seattle. The first leg was with a ANA’s charter, Air Japan. The livery and crew uniforms were ANA but I was a bit disappointed on the plane, a Boeing 767-300. It was a big old and rundown. There was also not a lot of space, I actually felt cramped after spending the last four years flying with Air Astana, Asiana, and China Southern.
There was not a lot of space for my Bose case as well.
When the flight was descending, the guy next to me tried to raise the window shade. He had problems as you can tell from the picture.
I know ANA is considered a 5 star airline but it does not even compare to Asiana or Eva Air. For all four legs, ANA would not even compare to Air Astana and China Southern which are 4 star airlines.
I am curious to see the Skytrax ratings for ANA early next year.
