Evening Traffic Jam in Saigon
Traffic jams are normal occurrences in Saigon, Vietnam, now. I took this picture about one hour ago near the Pham Ngu Lao Backpacker Area in District 1. The intersection was backed up, it needed two traffic police to direct traffic during rush hour. This surprised me a bit today, Indochine - A People's War in Colour, was not aired in Vietnam by the Discovery Channel today. It is not anti--Vietnam but does put the US, Japanese and French in a negative light. It is very interesting, you will see video of Saigon and Vietnam pre-1940s in color.
