Intel donates 1050 laptops to Vietnam
Intel Vietnam made a good move to help develop the IT sector in Vietnam. They donated over 1000 laptops to students in high schools around Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and two other provinces. Costly Repairs to Undersea cables
Repairs to the damaged undersea fiber optic lines have not begun yet but the costs will be enormous. If the math is right, to repair 11 km of on of one undersea cables that cost US$143,000 to lay back in 1994 will cost about US$2.6 million.
