Last weekend I attended two wedding receptions for my friends, Ms. Van and Quy. Ms. Van was my faithful colleague from SEAMEO where I taught for one year when I first arrived from Vietnam. Last Friday I headed to District 1 to meet some friends for lunch. On the way, I had to endure a downpour during a thunderstorm.
