People have asked about where I live in Almaty. I live closer to the mountains at Sun Valley Apartments not far from Medeo. This is a great area since there is less pollution here. Air Pollution in Almaty
It was bound to happen. My Kazakh friends in Vietnam warned me about this. Almaty has pollution problem due to the large amounts of cars in the city. Today there was a temperature inversion which is trapping the polluted air towards the ground. The clear sky we had this morning has been replaced by smog by the afternoon.
