My first Kazakhstan snowfall

I knew it was found to happen. Today it finally snowed in the early morning. Unfortunately it was the wet snow which makes walking very difficult. My right toe is still swollen so I could not wear my boots yet. Still it was pretty. Not so cold, just wet. Sunny Valley – Miras Microregion

I live in a nice area of Almaty.  Actually, I live on the outskirts of Almaty in the Miras Microregion (a microregion is similar to a District in Vietnam).  The apartment complex I live at is translated "Sunny Valley" from Russian into English.  The sun "seems" to rise over the mountains near where I live. After waiting for roughly 3 months, I am finally in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to work at an international school.  I departed Saigon, Vietnam, reluctantly, last Saturday.  I flew with Air Astana nonstop to Almaty, Kazakhstan.  It was a pretty good flight, they even upgraded me to business class.
