Finally I got the new OS2008 from Nokia running on my Nokia N800. I am on the terrace typing this post while listening to the BBC World Service. Many more functions than the iPhone.
Maemo provides all the open source software for the Nokia N800/810. Apache is now running with OS2008 and last night I was surprised to apt-get working as well.
You all will see me playing with this VoIP more often 🙂
Got a soft phone on your N800? Would you like a SIP account on my phone system? I can give you a real US phone number and everything.
Did Ninja show up again? I think the thing about not liking black cats is silly. Superstition in general is silly and bugs me.
Hey Tracy. the Nokia N800/810s are VoIP phones. I can call people with Skype, GoogleTalk, etc. It even allows you to set up an SIP account. It would be nice to be able to use something besides Skype. Tell me what I need to do.
As for Ninja, he still has not shown up. It is odd, some Vietnamese hate black cats, others find it as a sign of good luck. My friend told me that since he is black, somebody most likely picked him up and sold them. I bought him last November for 100,000 VND but now he can fetch much more 🙁
