Nguyen Du Brauhof (German Beer House) – Saigon

Thursday, September 27, 2007 By kevmille

Well, I cannot believe, I actually have a favorite beer house here in Saigon. It is called the Nguyen Du Brauhof – Restaurant & Beergarden, but I call it the German Beer house. It has one of the best tasting beers in in the city.

Laisan, Alexandre (a fellow Linux geek) and I headed there last Friday night for some good beer and sausages. I think we ended up drinking about 2.5 liters of light beer (I am not a fan of dark beer).

Tomorrow night I plan to return to the German beer house for some more beer. Great way to end a busy week 🙂

Is that the place close to Notre Dame Cathedral? I’ve passed by it many times and wondered about the beer there. Love the little tap they give u. Gotta check it out. Good beer is in short supply in Saigon.

    Hi there,
It might be odd to you that a stranger leaves a msg on your blog. Hope it’s ok.
I’m a Korean and working & living in Binh Duong. Living in VN seems quite fun but sometimes boring. To make a change in my lifestyle, I’d like to do something I haven’t been done here yet.

One of them is ‘ Studying English’. I’d like to have a private English tutor..If you know anyone who’s available for a couple of hours on Sundays..Pls let me know. Sorry If I bothered u!

    ps – I can speak english..pretty well?? (?)

@Kevin : Thanks for reply. You know what? I barely spend my free time here in BD. I always go to Saigon for anything, eating, buying stuff and hanging out ….
I even go to the gym to khach san renaissance..i think this is enough. Other than work, most of things about me happen in HCM. heh.

So..Do you know anyone? or can give me any tips to do something fun? Hanging out w/ same people(coworkers) make me kinda sick.
