Meandering Taxi Driver in Thu Thiem (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

How do you handle a meandering taxi driver on a busy road? How safe is it to ride a motorbike or motorcycle in Vietnam? There is one thing that I can’t stand, it’s when people don’t know how to drive!!!

Today, I was on my way to Thu Duc City so I was in a bit of a hurry. Plus, I figured there would be a rainstorm in about 30 minutes, which was my current travel time. Cars like this taxi taking over multiple lanes are becoming normal here in Saigon. You can tell the person is a new car driver. They drive their cars like motorbikes.

In short, the best way to handle a driver like this is to slow down and not lose your temper. You can tell from the video, I just slowed down. :-) Overall, it still was a good bike ride to Thu Duc City.
